Dr Aleyamma Punnoose is one of the first qualified lady Naturopathy doctors in India who served at the Government Nature Cure Hospital in Varkala, Kerala for many years before she retired.

Dr Aleyamma Punnoose and her husband Mr N T Punnoose (a qualified Yoga Teacher) started Naturopathy and Yoga Centre in the 1970s which later evolved as Aarogyamantra. The holistic healing centre, integrates the wisdom and talent from the ancient healing techniques of Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy and other complementary therapies to provide a balanced physical, mental and emotional wellbeing for human beings under the leadership of their son, Prince Punnoose, who lives with his wife, Bindu, and 2 children (Mia and Zara) in England.

Dr Aleyamma still oversees the service and supports other clinical staff and is available for Naturopathy consultations on request.
